Bathenjan is a Jordanian store specialising in homemade makdous made by a Jordanian mother with local eggplant, walnuts and real olive oil, delivered to every governorate with cash on delivery.
None, it is the same dish. "Makdous" is the common Levantine spelling; "maqdous" reflects the Jordanian and Palestinian pronunciation.
Makdous in olive oil keeps up to 12 months sealed and 3 months after opening, as long as the pieces stay covered with oil and you use a dry spoon.

If a jar arrives with any quality issue, tell us within 48 hours and we will replace it free.
